Contemporary British artist Andrew Hood is pleased to share his latest series of works on paper, 'Sketches from Europe'.
Created during his time travelling across Europe, this new series of sketches show the work behind each painting by the artist.
Andrew has enjoyed sketching all over Europe - from the hills of Mallorca to the coastline of the Cote D'Azur. He makes several trips abroad each year, gathering references for his paintings. He enjoys looking for diverse and engaging landscapes and coastlines and finds the energy of small seaside towns captivating.
Andrew loves sharing these scenes with his collectors. Taking the sketches back to his studio in Bristol, he says: “It’s exciting to make a connection with a place and then to share this with a viewer. I love capturing a place I love so much – and sharing this with someone through a painting.”
